BAKING MEASURES

Cookie gift-box planner

Plan whole batches for cookie gift boxes, Halloween treat bags, bake sales and parties. See what to bake, what to pack, and what will be left over.

Your boxes & cookies

Each box can also be a treat bag. Every box or bag gets the same assortment. Replace the example with your recipes; clear all three fields to leave a cookie row unused.

THE MATH, MADE SIMPLE

Enough of every cookie

For each type: boxes × cookies per box gives the number needed. Divide by the recipe yield and round up to whole batches. Leftovers are cookies baked minus cookies packed.

Example: 15 boxes, two cookie types

Four shortbread cookies per box need 60 cookies. At 24 per batch, make 3 batches: 72 cookies, with 12 left over. Three chocolate cookies per box need 45 cookies. At 18 per batch, make 3 batches: 54 cookies, with 9 left over.

That packs 105 cookies and bakes 126, leaving 21 extras. Each box gets 7 cookies.

Use your recipe’s actual yield

Whole batches are rounded separately for each type. Actual yield can vary with cookie size. Extras come from rounding only; no allowance for breakage or tasting is added.

The packing checkboxes are local reminders. They are not saved in your shared link. Ingredient quantities are entered separately in the recipe scaler.
